The offshore oil drilling platform is the equipment of national energy security strategy. We had participated in the localization production of the first batch of domestically produced jack-up oil drilling platforms(CNOOC 923#, 924#), and undertaken the development of core components of the platform, the spud leg gear racks and chords. This platform was successfully launched into service in Qingdao sea area in 2010, which created the history of Chinese-made and developed spud legs and chords for offshore oil drilling platforms, and displayed by CCTV in the program of nationalization of major equipment in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, enhancing the national offshore energy exploitation capacity and energy security.
